Offering a set of eight Rosenthal Ivory Continental dinner plates made for Ovington’s New York circa 1990. The plates measure 10 3/4 wide in Rosenthal’s Ivory model number 5890/I. They also have the number 124. The dinner plates are completely decorated with bands of encrusted gold, bands of emerald green overlapping leaves and a center cameo of multicolored flowers accented with hand painted white beads. The base ring on the back is painted gold as well. Marked on the back with Rosenthal Ivory Bavaria with the cartouche and swag stamp used on the Continental Series between the 1960s and 1990s. Also marked Covington’s New York in the gold laurel wreath used by the china import company. No chips, cracks, repairs. Bright gold and rich colors. An exquisite high end set.
