13 Elite Limoges Gold Rimmed Bird Dinner Plates. A Lot of 13 beautiful hand painted bird plates depicting game birds in their natural states. Each of these plates is delightfully detailed in and signed E. Each plate measures 9.25 wide and is bordered by a 1 gold band with a floral design. The gold rims have some light rubbing loss on the edges as well as some rust marks (see photos). The back of the plates are marked Elite. L France and some of them have the birds name as well. This “Elite” mark was used from 1896 – 1920. The last plate in the photos has a rim chip which took a photo of and I used that plate for the back shot so it can be seen from both sides. There are 13 plates included and while each is unique in its painting a few birds are repeated.
