These are magnificent old service or dinner plates. The price is for ONE Plate. Approximately 10 7/8 diameter. Quite heavy, each plate weighs about 1 1/2 lbs. Scalloped rim with gold trim. Elaborate designs with a beaded gold band around the rim, gold relief scrolls and stencilled gold designs. Beautifully hand painted small flowers in multiple arrangements on a gold background as well as in swags extending inside the plate. Made by Spode Copeland in England for the retailer T. Goode in London and accordingly marked. They also bear the handwritten pattern number C1716 and probably date to around 1900. In excellent condition, no chips, no cracks, no repairs.
