Magnificent and very rare to find set of 8 Minton gold encrusted dinner plates dating to late 19th century. Elaborate gold gilding workmanship went into making these plates with heavy raised gold that was sculpted into flowers, scrolls, swags, etc with a thick gold band around the center. Most of the plate is covered with gold gilding. Minton mark in gold on back along with number 612 and impressed Minton and Tiffany & Co. The plates measure just under 9 inches(8.875 inches) diameter. Condition all gold looks in good condition with a few scattered dark spots. Porcelain looks good no cracks or chips but one plate having discoloration at center and all with faint fine crazing.
