Limoges Cobalt & Gold Victorian Watteau Scene 9 3/8 Inch Plate Circa 1890s Pretty scalloped edge porcelain plate decorated in the Sevres or Royal Vienna style. With a courting couple scene of a Victorian woman and gentleman in a Garden, leaning against a stone fence and surrounded by trees. With a deep cobalt blue border with gold gilt floral and triangle decoration. Marked on the back Limoges France in red. Has some minor wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 9 3/8 inches wide. Royal Vienna Style Hand Painted Watteau Scene Raised Gold 9 1/4 inch Plate. Very pretty porcelain dinner sized cabinet plate. Decorated in the Royal Vienna style with a hand painted courting couple int he center. The man is sitting on a stone wall in front of trees and a castle. The scene is framed in a gold gilt square with raised gold triangles and diagonal lines. With pink around the square with gold gilt floral scrollwork designs. Has gold gilding with raised geometric designs along the inner rim. Has a yellow border with chocolate brown, red and pink panels framed in gold gilding. The brown panels have blue, green, orange, and light purple floral scrollwork. The red panels have a yellow, gold beaded, and blue diamond with a raised gold floral design in the center and small white beading. The pink panels have a brown medallion with a raised white enamel floral design framed in gold beading, with small gold stars and dots over the pink. With a row of gold gilt lines and beading over the yellow portions. Has a partially impressed F 74 mark used by Fraureuth between 1865 and 1896. Also has an overglaze pseudo / spurious Royal Vienna blue beehive/shield mark. Probably decorated in Austria or Germany during the late 19th century or early 20th century, prior to 1918. Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 9 1/4 inches wide. Pretty 19th century porcelain dinner plate. Decorated with a hand painted courting couple framed by gold gilt floral scrollwork designs. Has a turquoise background. With gold gilt scrollwork along the edge. Marked on the reverse with an underglaze blue crossed swords mark used by the royal Meissen factory. There are two slashes through the mark indicating it was decorated outside the factory. Circa 1860 to 1870s. Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. Carl Thieme Dresden Hand Painted Courting Couple Floral & Gold Reticulated Plate Beautiful reticulated porcelain dinner sized cabinet plate. Decorated with a hand painted courting couple and another gentleman in the center with trees, a monument, and ruins in the background. With small hand painted purple, orange, pink, yellow and blue flowers along the inner rim. Gold gilt highlights to the reticulated edge. Impressed Meissen on the base. This mark was used by Carl / Ernst Teichert. The dates online for this mark are given as 1894 to 1914, but the Marks on German, Bohemian and Austrian Porcelain 1710 to the Present by Robert E. Rontgen give the dates as 1882 to 1925. Also marked with a blue T over an X. This is an overglaze decorator’s mark used by Carl Thieme in Dresden, Germany between 1891 and 1901. With raised gold gilt and beaded scrollwork and floral medallions over the ivory. Has a black medallions with raised gold Watteau style courting couple framed in gold beading at the top and two black medallions with raised flowers framed in gold beading on either side. Has a wide band of gold with beading at the top along the inner rim of the plate. With gold flowers, scrollwork, scallops and dots below. Marked on the reverse with a gold Dresden flower mark. Marked on the bottom with a blue lamb above Dresden Saxony. This mark was used by Ambrosius Lamm in Dresden Germany between 1891 and 1914.
