7 Fabulous Vintage T&V Limoges Cobalt Blue and Heavy Gold Encrusted Dinner Plates. Each measures 11 diameter. One shows a repaired chip on the edge (see pic) otherwise all are near perfect. Color is great, no noticeable utensil marks. Most are stamped with the red T&V mark, one has the gold mark pictured. Great estate find that would make a nice addition to any collection! 1919 Antique Cobalt Blue & Gold MINTON England 10 Dinner Plates & 10 Bread. For sale is this exquisite set of antique Mintons dinnerware. Mintons was the gold standard for dinnerware and imported for retailers such as Tiffany & Co.. Have a wide beautiful band of cobalt blue, which the photos don’t do justice to because it changes color from dark blue to almost purple depending on the light, and has an amazing depth of color. This was a very expensive color to create in china and is harder to find than other designs. These plates have a lovely embossed thin gold band on the outer rim, and a wider embossed band on the inner edge of the cobalt. There are a total of 10 dinner plates measuring 10.25″, and 10 desert or bread plates measuring 6.4″. Generally the set is in excellent/very good condition. There are light utensil marks on the white center consistent with use, but the gold bands are remarkably well preserved. On the dinner plates one has a small chip on the rim (that could be touched up with gild), and one has a slight diffuse discoloration in the center portion. Of the bread plates two have some light crazing in the center, one has a small hairline that can be seen only from the underside, and one a significant hairline. Even with the damaged plates as backup there is a solid service for 8 in a rare and elegant set. Thank you so much for looking!
