Original 1974 showcasing design of excellence via lavish hand decorated 22 carat gold, the “Gold Aves” design 21.5 cm large dinner plate, with a stunning & elegant dramatic pattern of birds of paradise & peacocks. This plate has seen some very light use as indicated by some utensil marks on the surface of the plate. The original Avesbury design has appeared on the Royal Crown Derby luxury table ware since 1932. This amazing design was taken from an embroidery pattern by the painter, Albert Gregory.
