This is for a Set of 15 pieces of matching china. It is white fine china, with a gold trim and a black outline around the gold. You get the following. (8) Salad Plates, 7-1/2 wide. (8) Dinner Plates, 9-1/2 wide. (3) Flat Cups, 2″ tall by 3-3/8″ wide top rim (these are these smaller size flat cups). Mark on the bottom is Haviland & co. Limoges” and “Haviland France. Pattern “Ranson” or Blank/ Schleiger 1. The china is blank is the Ranson blank which is the shape of the piece and the impressed design/trim in the porcelain blank… Haviland made this in white but a limited amount of them were called “Ranson Gold” and trimmed with the thick gold border. HOWEVER – there have a thin line between the gold trim and white plate- I suspect this was added by the artist who signed their intials “EJL” and the word “Postlewaite”? Condition There are no chips or cracks to be concerned about. But the black line that was added has a few tiny dots here or there where the paint came off, can be retouched no problem. Please note that (4) of the eight dinner plates have a faded F monogram on the rim- please see the last 2 pictures to see what this looks like. The other 4 do not have these F’s and do not appear to have been monogrammed.
