Offered for sale is a stunning set of (10) vintage cobalt and gold gilt bone china dinner plates manufactured by Royal Doulton during the early 1900s. The dinner plates have hand-colored floral decoration in the center with butterfly and floral details around the outside. The rims are heavily decorated with cobalt designs and a gold gilt leaf pattern. The overall condition of the plates is excellent. There are no chips, cracks, or areas of restoration to note. It appears that these were used sparingly, as there are only minimal signs of utensil wear on their surfaces and the cobalt and gold gilt accents are strong with only light wear and minimal to no loss to note. Seven of the plates display no crazing. Two plates display only small areas of crazing on the foot, and one plate displays moderate crazing.
