Maker and age : On the reverse of these 8 classically elegant and heavily gold encrusted dinner plates is the green underglaze Heinrich & Co/H&C mark that was in use between 1930 and 1939. That means the plates are at least 82 years old and perhaps as old as 91. Heinrich H&C Porzellan, one of Germany’s most important makers, produced excellent porcelain wares in Selb, Bavaria, from 1901 to 1976, when it became part of Villeroy & Boch, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of fine porcelain. Design : These exquisite plates would make a powerful statement of good taste on any table.
