Limoges Lerosey Hand Painted Floral Shells Pink Ribbon Blue Gold 9 3/4 Plate D. Beautiful porcelain scalloped edge plate. Made by Delinieries & Co in Limoges France and retailed by Le Rosey in Paris during the late 19th century. Hand painted with pink, purple, yellow, blue and orange flowers in the center. With a band of blue along the edge with gold gilt laurel leaf overlay. Has a border of made up of a pink ribbon, green, blue, gold and purple shells, gold gilt scrollwork designs, purple and gold lattice designs, blue and red dots, and floral garlands. This mark can be seen if the plate is held up to a bright light. The mark is D & C France in green. This mark was used by Delinieres & Co in Limoges France between 1894 and 1900. Also marked Lerosey XI Rue De La Paix Paris in red. Lerosey was a retailer & decorator in Paris and the mark is listed as about 1880 to the 1890s. Has some small spots of wear to the enamel, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 9 3/4 inches wide.
