Pretty 19th century porcelain dinner plate. Decorated with a hand painted courting couple framed by gold gilt floral scrollwork designs. Has a turquoise background. With gold gilt scrollwork along the edge. Marked on the reverse with an underglaze blue crossed swords mark used by the royal Meissen factory. There are two slashes through the mark indicating it was decorated outside the factory. Circa 1860 to 1870s. Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 9 1/2 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
