This is a set of 8 antique Minton dinner plates. They have the older “Mintons” (with an’s’) mark on the back. Minton’s is considered one of the premier English bone china makers that operated in Staffordshire in the mid-1900’s with a history that dates back to the 1700’s. The plates are approxi. Mately 10-3/8 with gold encrusted rims. They have a cream band next then they have hand-painted gold scrolled accents around the inner part of the rim, and a center medallion with another gold encrusted design in the middle which is all on white. This is a gorgeous set! They are lightly used in very good condition for age. Minor wear on the back of the plates where stacked (see last photo as sample). Otherwise, there are no chips, cracks, crazing, or stains and gold has minor wear. See all detailed photos. Happy to answer additional questions or provide more photos.
