DEEP CRIMSON ENCRUSTED WITH HEAVY GOLD WITH THREE DIMENSIONAL WHITE & GOLD RIMS. IN PHENOMENAL CONDITION WITH NO CHIPS OR CRACKS. WITH SOME UTENSIL MARKS. VIVID COLORS AND SPARKLING GOLD.

Description – Set of six Copeland Spode dinner plates decorated with a wide blue lapis border and a scalloped rim trimmed in gold gilt. Made for Charles R. Lynde, Copeland Spode mark as shown. Late 19th – early 20th Century. 9 inches in diameter. Condition – Age appropriate, we find no chips or cracks, a few plates have some greyish spots on the back near the rim that appear to have occurred in the making when the gold gilt was fired, see photos for complete assessment. Please ask if additional photos are necessary.

Offered from a local NJ estate is a nice antique (1890- 1920) stack of 9. Copeland SHEFFIELD Pattern R568 White Dinner Plates with Gold trim bands and Feather detail. Raised and scalloped rims. No chips, cracks or crazing but every one does have gold wear both to edges and and severe to the. They also have utensil marks on the surfaces. This classic pattern has been seen on Downton abbey. All of the items I sell are vintage, antique or collectible and will show some signs of use or wear. Please do not be expecting to receive a “new” condition item. Each plate features a painted flower design in the middle with flowers and cabbage roses. This is a fabulous set!
