Coalport Hand Painted Botanical Floral Cranberry & Gold 9 1/4 Inch Plate A Nice antique British bone china plate with relief molded scrollwork and flower border with yellow and gold highlights. The border has a cranberry background with hand painted flowers in relief molded scrollwork cartouches with gold highlights. Hand painted botanical flower in the center. With gold floral and scrollwork gilding along the inner rim of the plate. Unmarked except for a retailer mark for THOs Sharpus & Co, 13 Cockspur Street. Circa 1839 to 1845. Has some wear to the gilding and wear consistent with age and use, but otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 9 1/4 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
