This fabulous set was made by the Meissen factory in Germany, featuring the Knauff-Schwerter decor. This decor features a central medallion with a hand-painted illustration of a sword or “Schwerter” in German and surrounded by a border of colorful floral and scrollwork motifs. The shape of the plate is “New Cutout” which is a variation of the classic shape of Meissen plates which have scalloped edges. The decor of the plate is called “Purple Court Dragon with Red Accents” which features a purple dragon with red accents and gold scaled details.
