Aristocrat Blue in the POPPY pattern is incredibly RARE. Very good to Excellent condition- Crazing throughout glaze normal for age but with no foxing or dark lines visible on front. Some darkening on back of plates but not on front. One plate has a TINY flat chip along back which does not cut across rim, and one plate has 4 TINY flat chips on back of rim, do not cut across rim edge. These flaws are only visible if the plates are flipped over and are very minor. See last 2 pics. No other nicks, cracks, chips, scratches, or repairs to any. Gold trim slightly worn as is normal for age and very occasional use, minor. No cutlery marks and finish is glossy and bright. This pattern is circa 1941. Floral center of mixed orangey-red poppy flowers and other flowers and grasses on a cream colored background. Cobalt blue border with a stunning Art Nouveau style 23K Gold filigree edge design.
