I was THRILLED to find this magnificent set of 12 Lenox 1830 series 10.5 diameter dinner plates. Although one or two lesser Lenox patterns use pale pink borders… Never before had I encountered the deep rich’salmon pink’ grounds with tooled gilt borders surrounding a round reserve in center of the plate. These plates date from 1900…. Perhaps as late as 1906… And have survived in such stunningly beautiful condition! So rare to find. These plates illustrate the pinnacle of table porcelain quality in American production during the’Gilded Age’ of late 19th and early 20th Century in America. What a JAW DROPPING Holiday Table these would create!
