Presented is a fantastic set of 11 antique Mintons dinner plates, dating to around 1910. These plates are made in an elegant gilt rim pattern, with classical shell and scroll decoration done in both recessed matte finish gold and high finish gold, for a nice element of contrast. Please note, we have additional sets of other types of dish in this pattern. This set of plates is in fair condition. One plate has a couple of sections of crazing, around the rim. One plate has a hairline to one side of the center well, about three inches long but not extending to either rim, and not visible to the underside. One plate has two short hairlines and a couple of spots of crazing. One plate has a hairline about two inches long, and some crazing. One plate has some minor crazing and some wear to the gilding. Two of the plates have some wear to the gilding. None of these issues are extremely noticeable, but we inspect all pieces carefully in the interest of honest representation. These plates are signed on the underside for Mintons, with a retail mark for Ovington Brothers. The majority of the plates have the date mark for 1910, with one having the date for 1911.
