Decorated with a hand painted portrait of a blonde lady with large green hat with pink feathers and a yellow and white gown over a white background with small gold dots. The scene is framed by a wide bright yellow border with raised gold floral, urn, and scrollwork designs and gold beading. Marked on the bottom with a blue W inside a shield and Dresden Germany underneath. This is an overglaze decorating mark used by Richard Wehsner in Dresden Germany around 1895. Has some losses to the gold beading, but no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 9 5/8 inches wide.
