Set of 9 Lanternier Limoges Gold Greek Key & Rose Garlands Dinner Plates C. 1890s Very pretty set of 9 porcelain dinner plates decorated with a gold encrusted Greek key pattern along the edge. Has another band of black below that, with a sort of gold chain design. Followed by a band of dark pink rose garlands or swags. Marked on the reverse Limoges France in green. This is an unknown Limoges mark circa 1890s. Also marked in red A. Lanternier & Co Limoges. This is an overglaze decorating mark used by A. Lanternier in Limoges France in the 1890s. Plates have some knife wear and usage marks consistent with age and some minor wear to the gilding, but otherwise excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Each plate measures approximately 9 7/8 inches wide. These antiques and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the pieces.
