And now to offer for sale… This astonishing find of a set of 12 superb Lenox 10 1/2 diameter dinner plates w/ Green Mark, ca. I acquired them from the estate of a lady that ordered these plates from Shreve & Co. They still retain many of the felt’Shreve’ plate slips. This is a very scarce pattern… And in just astonishingly beautiful condition. These plates illustrate the extremely high level of quality production that Lenox was known for in the early 20th Century. Indeed, these were produced for the’Gilt Age’/Belle Epoque period bordering on the Art Deco. On rare occasions I have seen’one or a pair’ of this pattern.. But I’ve never encountered a SERVICE for TWELVE before….. !
