Limoges Hand Painted Signed Laurey Pink Roses Fruit Heavy Gold 10 3/8 Inch Plate Nice porcelain plate with relief molded flowers and beading along the edge decorated in heavy gold gilding. The plate is hand painted with pink roses, apples, plums, cherries, and other fruit. Signed by the artist. Has an overglaze mark on the reverse in green that reads Comte D’artois Limoges France with a crown in the center. According to the Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain Third Edition, this mark was used by an unidentified company after the 1930s and may possibly be an importer’s mark on Limoges porcelain imported by Gimbel Brothers, and is not to be confused with the first Limoges factory which was under the protection of the Comte D’artois. Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 10 3/8 inches wide. This is vintage and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
