I have not determined the pattern name or number as of this listing, but if I do I will update this. Nine and 1/4 Inches (23.5 CM) in diameter, this Set of FIVE plus LAGNAIPPE! (Lagnaippe is a common South Louisiana Cajun term that translates to “something a little extra”). The LAGNAIPPE is : A sixth plate, at no extra cost, that is fully functionable. The reason it is not included in the set is there is a very fine set of five fine & even cracks from the center out that looks like cuts in a pie that has not been served yet. (SEE LAST PHOTO) My guess is that this happened at the factory prior to glazing as one cannot feel the cracks. SO, it has lasted for over 129 years without breaking and will probably continue to do so, and it is not unattractive, so, in essence, you really will have a serving for six. Pricing : This design is very rare by my research. But the closest design that is very similar by this company is retailing for approximately 30 to 70 dollars per plate.
