Dresden Hand Painted Madame Pompadour Green & Raised Beaded Gold Portrait 9 1/2 Inch Plate Beautiful porcelain cabinet plate. Decorated with a hand painted portrait of Madame De Pompadour. Has a band of gold gilding with a thin band of gold beading along the inner rim of the plate. The border is green with raised gold scrollwork, gold lines, gold net/lattice designs with beading, and gold flowers. Gold gilding along the edge. Marked on the bottom with a blue H in a triangle above Dresden. This mark was used by Heufel in Dresden Germany. Has a few small spots of wear to the background of the portrait and some minor wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 9 1/2 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
