This listing is for a 19th century, French Old Paris porcelain set of 7 bread plates and 2 dinner plates. The bread plates measure 7 1/2 inches in diameter the dinner plates are 9 1/2 inches in diameter. The pieces have a high white ground and are accented in the raised porcelain and embellished with heavy applied gold highlights throughout. The pieces have excellent attention to detail throughout. The condition is good, with some rubbing to the gold. Exquisite & rare antique French Charles Ahrenfeldt Limoges 12pc 10 1/4 dinner plate set, pale cream to white with highly intricate and ornate raised gold enamel encrusted borders and all in superb condition! Virtually dripping opulence, this set leaves nothing to be desired, well… Maybe an elegant set of antique French sterling silver flatware and service pieces to go with them. Artfully executed raised gold enamel with frieze style inner and outer bands. Also worth noting are the gold enamel bases, I haven’t really verified it but was told by one of our dealer friends that this addition was really only done on pieces of great importance, sort of the coup de gras to an exceptional work. In other words, a completely unnecessary show of extravagance. They also bear the mark for the US retailer C. Reizenstein of Pittsburgh – Allegheny. Charles Ahrenfeldt started decorating porcelain in French Limoges in 1884. Finally he also established a porcelain factory. Earlier he gained experience in 1840s decorating porcelain in Paris and managing a firm exporting porcelain. The company’s first store was established on Federal Street in Allegheny (now Pittsburgh) in 1865, making it America’s oldest family-owned china and glassware. The set you see here complete and in as near pristine condition as one could hope for. Decorate your table, these are sure to accumulate compliments. Very good to excellent condition. No chips, no cracks and i see no crazing. There are a few darkened spots here and there to the gold enamel but hardly noticeable. Gorgeous antique to vintage French Limoges marked 12pc 9 3/4 dinner plate set with elegant cobalt & gold enamel borders & ornate interlaced monograms! Just found and wonderful. All twelve original and matching with the same monograms though I can’t quite distinguish the individual letters (maybe viewers will have more luck). Stamped marks on the backs of all, one green in a triangular shape with “Limoges France Depose” framing “CM” in the center and then “Martin Limoges” in blue. A beautiful set, don’t miss them! Very good to excellent condition. Ten of the plates are in wonderful condition. Of the remaining two, one has a tiny edge chip and another has a glued flash chip along the gold enamel frieze band & edge (see detailed picture). No crazing and I see know knife marks. FRENCH SAXON CHINAUNION MADE U. 22 KT GOLD China Set Service for 8. 22 KT GOLD Dinner Plates Service for 8 RARE. This set China from the French Saxon China Company is a rare collection of their 22K gold floral design. This vintage collection shows wear from age and previous use, including a faded design on many of the items, most noticeable on the dinner plates. There is significant crazing on many of the pieces. Please see all photos for further details regarding the condition of this set. Despite the flaws, this remains a beautiful set that is very hard to find.
